Foster homes needed for adults, puppies and nursing mothers with litters. Foster families truly are the backbone of the Rescue. Without fosters, we cannot save lives. Foster commitments can be anywhere from 2 weeks - 4 months depending on the dog and it's needs.

Featured Adoptables
All dogs come spay/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. If interested in filling out an application, please do so under the 'adopt' tab. All interested adopters must fill out an application before a meet and greet can be arranged.
ADOPT MAGGIE!
MAGGIE is one of our longest term residents at SSBR! This sweet girl came in with her litter, was an excellent mama but they are all long adopted, leaving Mama Maggie still homeless. Maggie does have some fears with some men but loves women, There's no telling what her past has entailed but we hope for her future to be much better. Maggie is good with other easy going dogs. She has been fully vetted. Now she just waits....
ADOPT ME! JOY
JOY is sadly a long term resident at SSBR as well. Joy came to SSBR from a high kill shelter with her litter of puppies almost 3 years ago. Her puppies are grown and in homes but no home has come for Joy... Joy is an easy going dog who just wants a comfy place to lay and some love from her humans. She is ok with other dogs but doesn't like to share with them too much. She can be a bit sassy. She has been fully vetted. Can your home use a little JOY?
ADOPT ME! JUNE
JUNE is a wonderful pup! From running the streets of South Louisiana, having litter after litter, to a loving foster home awaiting her forever home. June's foster parents love her and she is hoping her forever home will love her as much. She is dog friendly and loves all people. She has been fully vetted. She is a darling girl and will thrive in just about any home. Sadly, she has had little interest due to being a black mixed breed dog.
